Xbox Live Marketplace Issues Blamed on Internal Error

Xbox.com error
Update: Major Nelson reports that the Xbox Live Marketplace should be back up and running smoothly now, as of about 2:15pm Pacific.

Original Story: Amidst all of the issues Sony has had with the PlayStation Network (the PlayStation Store remains down, more than a month after it was first taken offline along with PSN itself), Microsoft is having problems with the Xbox Live Marketplace today. Microsoft says this isn't the result of an attack on its systems, but an "internal operation error."

Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson, posted word on Twitter earlier today that the Marketplace was acting up and it was being dealt with. He has since said it's back online on consoles, but I still find myself unable to download the new Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale trial. (An error, status code 80153048, pops up when I try.) Besides that, there has been at least one report of pricing not being up to date, something that Major Nelson says will be fixed later today.
