The Implications of Sirius XM's Inclusion in the NASDAQ 100 Index

Cameron Kaine submits:

As I have often been known to do, I like to give credit where credit is due. (Please forgive the unintended rhyme.) Credit is very important in journalism, particularly when authors exemplify some of the qualities that I admire the most. When discussing stocks and investments, inherently we are discussing risk, so it makes equal sense for people to stick their necks on the line from time to time. It sort of qualifies the topics or the risks associated with investing as a whole.

As you know by now, in a press release sent out Friday, Sirius XM (SIRI) was included in the NASDAQ-100 Index. Brandon Matthews of SatwavesPro.com deserves much of the credit here. Not because he convinced NASDAQ for the selection, but because he stuck his neck out and predicted this would happen long before anyone thought it would.
